Therapy Process
I am grateful you are here and appreciate the opportunity to support you in therapy. Appointments are offered on select weekdays, with both in-person and telehealth options available. Please do not hesitate to reach out for more information or to schedule an appointment. For your privacy and convenience, the best way to reach me is through the secure contact form on this website or by email. I am often meeting with clients during the day, though you may leave a message on my voicemail. I make every effort to respond by the end of the next business day.
Information about policies and procedures will be sent once your appointment time is confirmed. You will also receive an email invitation to the secure client portal, where you can conveniently complete your intake paperwork and sign consent forms online. My office is located in Landfall Executive Suites, a professional office complex with many types of businesses and practitioners, which provides both anonymity and confidentiality. If you request a virtual session, a link to the telehealth meeting will be sent to you in advance.
Your first session will be an intake assessment scheduled for one hour. My goal is to create a comfortable and relaxed environment where you can openly share your concerns. I will review your intake materials beforehand and ask clarifying questions to better understand your background and current needs. This meeting is designed to thoroughly explore your history, discuss emotional and behavioral challenges, and establish treatment goals together.
Follow-up sessions last approximately 50 minutes, with a few minutes reserved at the end for setting goals and scheduling upcoming appointments. My approach is empathic and compassionate while also offering direct feedback to teach problem-solving strategies and coping skills. The therapeutic relationship is collaborative and grounded in safety, trust, and respect.

Additional Information
I am not in-network with Blue Value/Blue Local/Blue Home (BCBS plans with a limited provider network), Cigna, Humana, Medicaid, Medicare, Tricare, or United Healthcare. I am happy to verify your insurance benefits if you have one of the accepted insurances listed above to determine your copayment and deductible amount. When completing the contact form, please include your subscriber ID number and the phone number listed for provider services on your insurance card if you would like for me to verify your coverage.
Marriage, couples, and family therapy are offered in this practice only as self-pay services and are not billed to insurance. The clinical framework of these sessions focuses on relational goals and equal attention to all participants, which typically does not meet insurance criteria for medical necessity. For this reason, superbills are not provided.
Payment
All clients are required to keep a valid credit, debit, or HSA/FSA card securely on file in the client portal. Cards are charged at the time of service. They may also be used for late cancellation or missed appointment fees, as outlined in the cancellation policy. Cash payments are also accepted. If you choose to pay with cash, the card on file will not be charged for that session.
Cancellation Policy
I kindly request as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, as your session is reserved exclusively for you. In fairness to other clients, please notify me at least 48 hours in advance so that your appointment time can be offered to someone on the cancellation list. Appointments missed or changed with less than 48 hours’ notice are subject to the full session fee. For Monday sessions, notice should be given by the preceding Friday. This policy is intended to protect my small business and is not meant to be punitive or create hardship. Thank you for your understanding and consideration.
